ZRE Katowice, upon the order of GDF Suez Energia Polska, is currently executing the order that consists in replacement of fresh steam pipeline and upgrade of suspensions for secondary (superheated) steam pipeline at the EPP Połaniec. In August 2014 a part of the contract was completed for the third power unit in row. The other three power units covered by the contract still remained to be upgraded.
The scope of the fresh steam pipeline upgrade includes:
- Manufacturing of bent elbows (pre-production by the Manufacturing Centre of ZRE in Jaworzno).
- Disassembling of the pipeline from boiler chambers to main steam gates.
- Assembling of the new pipeline for fresh steam with substitution of the 13HMF steel with the X10CrMoVNb9-1 (P91) material.
- Execution of the pressure tests with the pressure of 199 bars and non-destructing tests (NDT) for the pipeline.
The scope of upgrade project for suspensions for secondary (superheated) steam pipeline
- Development of the detailed engineering documentation (own development of ZRE Katowice).
- Supplies of materials.
- Replacement /refurbishment of suspensions.
- Adjustment of settings for suspensions.
Scope of the system for the boiler blowdown:
- Installation of the system for blowdown.
- Operation of the system during the blowdown operation.
- Disassembling of the blowdown system after having the pipelines restored to the initial condition.
The projects shall be carried out in 2014 and 2015.
